Since my return to the UK on December 18th 2007 I have been pursuing land-based work and taking a break from cruise work. I am available for gigs, deps and studio work from that date onwards.
I have recently teamed up with ‘Rhythm Junkies’ vocalist Koser Saeed to form a classy, contemporary duo called ‘Over Ice’. We perform classic soul, jazz and blues with a twist of contemporary Pop. Our set has already been well received in various venues around Worcestershire.
My jazz duo with Ethel Fitzjohn has been well received following gigs in Bewdley, Worcestershire. We also completed some recordings of five of her original songs. For more information, check out www.ethelfitzjohn.com.
‘The Rhythm Junkies’ are a Birmingham based 5- piece function band featuring my mate James Rawson on drums. I have been performing with them throughout the year and expect to be busy with them over the festive season. Check out their site: www.rhythmjunkies.co.uk
Kidderminster based band ‘The Sharks’ play soul, blues and funk at venues across the West Midlands. Check out www.sharkattack.tripod.com the home of ‘the Sharks’ for gig dates and further info.
I recently completed a three-night residency at The Terrace Restaurant in Brownhills backing cabaret with veteran drummer Mike Rubery. Acts included The Entertainer J.P.James and world renowned Paraguayan Harpist Francisco Iglaysia.
Another line-up I’ve been working with are Kidderminster trio ‘New Direction’. They are an established function band playing a varied set from 60’s to the present day. Watch this space for website info.
